Hey 204! (: There should be a sheet of paper going around the class by now. The paper has all our names on it, with spaces above for us to draw our icons. YES DRAW IT ABOVE. Okay anyway umm after you've drawn your icon, do colour it because that's the final product. Once someone messes it up, the whole design's gone.

As a final confirmation, our shirt should be something like this:

- white (if I'm not wrong the majority voted for white, right?)
- front will be shown in class on Monday/Tuesday
- back will consist of our names with icons

There's a post-it attached to the sheet to explain the rationale of passing the sheet around in the first place, so do read it!

this is just to remind you guys to please bring your present perfect forms(the EL magazine thingy) on Wed+cheque if you're subscribing. It's due on 2nd Feb, but better to get it done faster. Just so you know, it IS NOT compulsory:) Not sure if a NIL reply is required because the subscription page suggests that it is needed, so people not ordering, also please bring the form in case. Just a gentle reminder that the two "Getting to know you" sheets from Ms Lim are due tomorrow. In case anyone isn't sure of the details, the first sheet is a blank piece of A4 paper that she distributed in class. You're supposed to write Name, class index no. that sorta stuff. Then underneath, answer these two questions: 1) how would you like EL lessons to be like? 2) Describe your goal for EL.
Okay, as for the second sheet, it's just about your interests. Ya, please do them by tomorrow. English is the first block I think. If you can, pass it to me by then.

1. Type out and publish the analysis of your Lit poem by Monday the 19th of January.
2. Read the History worksheet and answer the question "was there a Singapore before 1819?"
3. Lit poem "Just Because" is due before the Lit block on Thursday.
4. Maths factorisation worksheet!
5. The Research Studies options presented today are: NASA Space Settlement ( application due 30th January) and CmPS (proposal + application due 12th February)
6. Anyone who ordered files or dividers please check your emails for how much money you need to bring! I will be collecting the money on Wednesday and Thursday!
7. Geog hot air balloon worksheet + the worksheet with MM Lee on the front is due Friday.
8. Write your name on a piece of (slightly smaller than A5 [half a sheet of A4]) paper demonstrating your uniqueness! by tomorrow.

Van Yap here. Anyway, for the commonwealth essay, it's due this coming Monday. Everyone please pass it to me before the start of second block, because second block is S&D, Ms Lim wants me to pass it to her during lesson. Okay, just in case any of you didn't manage to catch the details of it that she wrote on the board, these are it.
1. The whole thing must be typewritten.
2. Font: Times New Roman/Arial, size 11-12
3. Spacing 1.5
4. Word count at the end of the essay in ( )
5. Name, class and index number shown somewhere on the paper.
6. The whole question must be typed out. As in not just Q3 or something, you have to say Q3:What i don't want to do when i grow up. Something like that, this is just an example.

I think that's it for the commonwealth essay. As for the EL getting to know you stuff (the 2 sheets of paper that Ms Lim gave us), I will be collecting them on our next EL block(Wed).

Okay, i think that's all for English.

for the class deco, i was thinking maybe we could have people's names in that Hollywood Star sort of thingy, and below it their celeb's picture. I dont think it'd be a good idea to have the names on the pictures themselves, cos our classmates are more important, so we should have their names BIG enough to be seen from afar, right? well, maybe not that far.
i wish i could do an example, but my mum's next to me and NO WAY JOSE do i want her to see taylor or david's faces.

CLASS SHIRT/HOODIE/BOTH/WHICHEVER:
I know this is REALLY early, but as I've explained in the previous post - it's better to get started now before things get really busy and tough.

Basically, this is all you have to do:

1. Vote for whether you want a class shirt or class hoodie or both.
It'll be really cool to have a hoodie, but that's up to you all (:
(I'll be asking again probably tomorrow morning or something, but for now it's just FYI)

2. Come up with a design (it isn't compulsory, btw) if you have one in mind.

Actually I do have an idea (Cara and Ting En have both seen it too!), so I'll show it to you all tomorrow. Artistically-inclined people like Wei Qi and Karen *hinthint* feel free to contribute too (:

MORTALS
If you don't already know, you can check the 104'09 class list outside the KSChee. Mortals will be assigned based on register number.
However, according to Gin Teng, there may be new additions to the class. If there are extra mortals I guess we'll re-assign or something?

COMMONWEALTH ESSAY
Oh and I've checked around. You are required to do your Commonwealth Essay if you haven't done so. (according to people who've asked their teachers, that is) You can check the list of questions here.
